Artist Statement

I have chronic pain due to my arthritis. I also have general anxiety. I always think about what people think of me and freak out at the slightest sign of a new symptom. I wanted art to express my thoughts and experiences which some may relate to. Many times I have felt pain that has never been expressed through art so I wanted to make art for others like me with little representation. I make colorful paintings to express paint as a constant presence in my life that I have to learn to live with. I am also a tetrachromat which makes observing colors something I enjoy. Through my 2-d designs I express my emotions and my pain in a way that lures the audience.
