Artist Statement

My artistic practice consists of thinking of moments in my life where I felt extreme emotions that I could not show, moments that I had to deal with alone with no one to talk to them about. I focus on the feelings that were hidden away, the urges that screamed to be shown and then transform them into art. I usually take reference from photos that I take of myself or others, then fit them into my idea. I usually use graphite and paint as my mediums to portray my thoughts, but I often combine different materials to make my art be seen better and spread to others. My intention behind the artwork that I create is to be relatable to others' experiences, and to finally deal with the feelings that I had to force down by mouth.
