Artist Statement

I am a Philadelphia native, spending some years in Florida and have moved back to the area to be with my family.
My love of art began when I was very young. Always influenced by mother, who was also an artist, I attended Syracuse School of Art, Temple University Tyler School of Art, and George Washington University~ Corcoran Gallery of Art. After completing my studies, I began designing and creating custom jewelry and hand- built ceramics. Owning a store in Center City Philadelphia I was able to showcase my own custom jewelry design, making custom specialty pieces for my clients. I later sold my ceramics to stores nationwide and in local art and craft shows.
I now paint in my own studio and focus on creating bold, colorful, and expressionistic paintings so that the viewer can emotionally connect with my paintings through the stories that they convey.
