Artist Statement

Interdisciplinary Conceptual Artist: Multi-Media, Painting, Drawing, Installation, Sculpture, Design and Performance

Utilizing new and traditional mediums, I focus on articulation of concept and process, striving to expand the ways in which art is created and perceived in our evolving contemporary culture.

Connectivity is an abstract term, a function that acts prolifically in all aspects daily life. Through it, by connecting seemingly distant or unrelated concepts or ideas, we derive new meanings. Creating art with meaning that is fundamentally based on connectivity requires a subject in which connectivity is an oblique tool and meaning is the culminating result. I do not necessarily have to analyze or dissect. On the contrary, through a process of connecting infinite possible signifiers of meaning, I am able to address subjects that I see, and content that fuels me artistically and as a human being. It is in the chosen subject that meaning is connected and this is where I find truth.
