Artist Statement
My name is Lisa Smith, I am a retired Educator and Fine Artist with a love for painting and drawing in various mediums as soft and oil pastels, acrylic paint, graphite and charcoal. My style of painting and drawing is representational. I have been painting and drawing for 54 years. My work has been accepted in many juried and, invitational shows, galleries, art centers, art festivals, colleges, museums. I have also curated artists juried shows.
I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts( 83' certificate ) The Ecole D' Art Americans Institutions Internationals D 'eneignment
(Palis De Fontainebleau) 87' Fontainebleau France summer Session certificate). and Ashford University (2013 Bachelor of Arts in Education.I was also an Art Teacher for the School District of Philadelphia for twenty years.
Awards
Jurors' Award for painting "A Stroll in The City" 85th annual members show .The Cheltenham Center for the Arts 2026.
Finally, I love painting and drawing and the positive experiences growth and development I have had as a Visual Artist.
