Artist Statement
I create instinctively, driven by an essential need for my own sanity and well-being. Art is my means of processing the world around me and within me—less a choice than a compulsion, a way of breathing through color, form, and expression.
While my work is deeply personal, I believe art transcends the artist's original intent. I create knowing that each observer will bring their own experiences, emotions, and interpretations to what they encounter. This subjectivity isn't a limitation but a gift, allowing my work to live beyond my own understanding, to become something new and meaningful in ways I may never have imagined.
When I share my art, I'm reaching toward connection, seeking to feel part of the larger tapestry of humanity. My work becomes a bridge between my inner world and the observer's, creating space for multiple truths to coexist. What a piece means to you is as valid and important as what it means to me. In this exchange between creator and observer, between intention and interpretation, art fulfills its highest purpose: reminding us of our shared humanity while honoring the uniqueness of our individual experiences.
