Artist Statement

My work explores motherhood and identity through a practice rooted primarily in photography. I use the camera as a means of examining lived experience and fabricating images that turn abstract concepts and complicated emotions into something tangible.

I focus on the complexities of motherhood that commonly go untold. My images attend to the quiet, repetitive aspects of daily life as a parent, in which personal identity is put on the back burner until reassessed time and time again. My work reflects how my own identity is shaped through relational roles and the various seasons of my life.
