Artist Statement
I am an award-winning poet and writer, and an occasional visual artist. I make things because I feel compelled to gesture at the mystery that surrounds us and is largely invisible through our limited means of perception; art helps us to reach the edge of what is possible and glimpse further into those mysteries than we would otherwise be able to. Much of my work praises the living earth and is critical of the social relations that are destroying it.
