Artist Statement

My art is often centered around themes of drug dependency, family dynamics, and mental health. The process is deeply intuitive and tactile, involving photography as well as collecting and transforming found and discarded materials. I utilize found objects and darkroom photographs to create something that reflects ideas of recovery, resilience, and renewal. Each object and fragment carries its own story, layered with meaning and memory, and becomes part of a larger narrative about healing and transformation through art. Whether working with photography or sculpture, art-making is a form of therapy for me, as it helps me unpack my past, face brutal truths, and discover new perspectives through the creative process.
