Artist Statement

I work in mixed media, with a focus on glass, to expand public awareness of political figures and events obscured by American propaganda. My practice confronts the silences, distortions, and omissions in the way United States history is taught and remembered. I challenge what we are conditioned to accept at face value and highlight what has been buried. My process draws from political theory, speeches, and historical texts, alongside inspiration from music, documentaries, and sculpture. Through this research, I gather fragments of language and cultural memory and translate them into iconography and abstract visual forms. By weaving these references into physical visuals, I push against dominant narratives and open space for reconsideration from the viewer to spark questions about the layers of propaganda that shape Western culture.
