Artist Statement
My work is rooted in repetition as a form of ritual, where the accumulation of simple gestures reveals both discipline and transformation. I am drawn to reflective materials for their shifting relationship with light, allowing each piece to change with its surroundings and resist a single reading. Through experiments with unusual surfaces and textures, I explore how materiality itself can destabilize perception, moving between delicacy and monumentality, order and fluidity. These tensions, between the singular and the collective, the static and the dynamic, are central to my practice. By approaching patterns, I create works that are not fixed objects but environments of introspection, wonder, and continual becoming.
