Artist Statement
I started making pottery when I signed up for an introductory ceramics course at Joliet Junior College in 2023. I've been taking ceramics classes there ever since in order to have access to a studio and continue improving my skills. I find the process of making pottery relaxing and rewarding, especially the decorative process -- most of my pieces are wheel thrown, burnished, and hand painted with intricate designs that combine fine lines and dots.
