Artist Statement

I came to painting late, after retirement, wanting a new and more creative chapter than my career had afforded me. Having been introduced to watercolor by a friend, I fell in love. The fluidity and vibrancy of watercolor both challenges and inspires me. I especially like mixing the softness and variety of nature with the more defined lines of manmade structures.
