Natalie Straton

Artist Statement

Natalie Straton is a NYC-based figurative artist working primarily with oils and ceramics. She is interested in human nature and sensuality, exploring the ways in which emotions and personal histories are reflected through the body. She translates feelings into form and color, drawing inspiration from philosophy, mythology, and music. In the spring, Natalie will be receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of Visual Arts. In 2025, she was also a summer resident at the New York Academy of Art, and has worked as a gallery assistant for several years.
