Artist Statement

I began to draw, and eventually to paint, as a way to focus and combat anxiety. I’ve found art to be therapeutic, rewarding and possibly the easiest way to express myself and share an experience with others. I’ve always tried to tie myself to the Hampton Roads Community and find ways to contribute with my art. Painting faces at fundraisers, creating affordable logos for local businesses, and currently displaying my work in partnership with the Chesapeake Public Libraries. I want to put art in people’s path that they can’t help but smile at, and that brings joy to all who see it.
