Artist Statement

I am a ceramic artist focused on functional ware that celebrates experimentation. My work explores glaze chemistry, glaze combinations, slip drips, bubbles, texture, utility, and the mindful meditation and healing powers of mud. I create pieces purely for the joy of making and donate most of them to individuals, little food pantries, and anyone who crosses my path. When requested, I help sculptors, ceramic artists, and community studio owners explore and write grants to secure funding for their work.
