Linda Elgart

Artist Statement

Linda Elgart is an artist from Philadelphia, who returned just over 2 years ago after 35 years in California.

I'm returning to full time art after a long and fruitful career in the custom bicycle clothing business.

Currently I'm drawing from live models every week, and painting.

My paintings are inspired by scenes I've seen traveling, and I am captivated the light at dusk. I am trying to create a feeling of mystery, of "What's next?" in my paintings. I love the textures of old buildings.
