Jill Weingarten-Stein
Artist Statement
Art has been a part of my life since early childhood. My work has been shaped by
the influence of Impressionist painters and the art of my late great-grandmother,
Lenke Weingarten. We shared a close bond, and her encouragement helped instill
in me the confidence to pursue and share my artistic voice. I have found my
expression through painting, ceramics, figure drawing, and photography.
My current practice centers on photography, through which I explore the relationship
between light, color, and natural form. I am particularly drawn to flowers and
landscapes—subjects that offer endless variation and subtle beauty. My work seeks
to capture often-overlooked moments that exist in everyday life.
