Time, that elusive and relentless master, shapes our existence in ways we rarely stop to contemplate. We measure it in seconds, minutes, and years, yet our subjective experience of it can be wildly inconsistent. Think about the last time you were utterly engrossed in a task you loved—a passion project, a captivating book, or a deep conversation with a friend. In those moments, time often seems to accelerate, slipping through our grasp like fine sand. An hour feels like ten minutes. This phenomenon highlights that time is not just a constant external force, but a deeply personal, psychological construct.

Conversely, when we are bored, waiting anxiously, or enduring an unpleasant experience, the clock seems to crawl. Each second is a tiny, agonizing eternity.
