Artist Statement

Feeling 'snug as a bug' always seems to evoke a level of comfort, confidence and even security.

The idea of a perpetual 'hug' helps children with special needs acknowledge what may be difficult for them when understanding spatial awareness as it involves their own body. However, this level of comfort doesn't stop with special needs.....who doesn't love the feeling of comfort and cozy!

Our WeightyBugs!™ are intended to help kids of all ages recognize where, when and how the different parts of their bodies work, independently and together.....allowing movement that is functional, comfortable, meaningful and safe.
