Artist Statement

As an artist deeply embedded in the tapestry of natural landscapes, my work reflects the world’s inherent beauty, captured through the lens of my camera. I see my landscape photographs as vibrant, living compositions. I meticulously craft and personally print each image on luxurious 100% cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. This allows me to control the nuances of color gradation, from gentle pastels to rich, dynamic palettes, and to explore the full range of tones when working in black and white.
I select my subjects through intuition, guided by the diverse elements of nature, captivated by both small details and expansive horizons. Hills, meadows, woods, trees, and water are the cornerstones of my compositions, with clouds and directional light shaping their contours and forms. The world around us whispers in a language of light. From delicate flora to sweeping ocean vistas and the ever-changing drama of clouds and sky, what inspires me are the mysteries of nature. The early morning light, with its gentle awakening glow, tells a story of renewal. The varied hues of late afternoon speak to introspection and endings.
The ancient philosopher Horus wrote: "A picture is a story without words". Through my handcrafted prints, I invite viewers to discover the sublime in the ordinary, to pause, and breathe in a moment of natural wonder. Each print is designed to evoke an emotion and tell a silent story of light that can only be savored by the eyes and mind.
