K. KHRYSTY FINE ART
Living in the heart of the Pocono mountains and being inspired by nature, my work serves as a lens through which I perceive and express my fascination with the essence of the landscapes, flora, and fauna that surround us. I am currently enjoying working with a variety of traditional media from oils to watercolors and everything in between, to help represent my subjects of interest in the most beautiful and eye catching way.
I consider myself a realist painter, but my art practice is my escape from reality. Therefore, I like to paint scenes as collective images from my imagination that look and feel real as if they could’ve existed somewhere, making them universal and unique at the same time. Through my art, I hope to ignite a renewed appreciation for the scenery, colors, and atmospheres that surrounds us and to inspire a deeper connection with nature. In a world that often rushes by, I invite viewers to pause, breathe, and rediscover the profound beauty of vast landscapes and the smallest details to drift away into daydreaming about the places we once visited and the memories we made.
Edward Hopper once said, “if I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint” and I aspire to speak with my paintings in ways that are understood on the deeper levels where the words can’t reach.
