Artist Statement

I am a Pacific Northwest artist based in Mukilteo, where the quiet beauty of my small town and its surroundings continually inspire me. Working in gouache and oil, I capture fleeting moods of light and atmosphere, often beginning with plein air sketches and expanding them into expressive studio paintings. My work balances structure with looseness, inviting viewers to pause and share in the wonder of shifting skies, glowing water, and the rhythms of nature.
