Artist Statement

First and foremost I must express my gratitude for the classes and teachers in the Peralta System. With the help of my teachers, I have learned to think of myself as an artist with a practice. I have had the chance to explore a variety of techniques and mediums, and have come to appreciate what each has to offer. I love them all and recently have been experimenting more with mixing and matching. Though the subject matter changes from piece to piece, I try to keep a sense of humor and sometimes cats at the center.
