Arlene Stearns

Artist Statement

Arlene’s artistic ability was first recognized at an early age. She was encouraged to develop her talent. She earned a minor in art from Georgia State University. As an adult, she painted regularly in oils and later studied watercolor with Jim Gensheer. After a long hiatus, she picked up her brushes again and resumed painting in both mediums from her travels and nature photography. She hadn’t realized just how much she missed expressing herself artistically! Today, her work is exhibited in several galleries.
