Lindy Blosser

Artist Statement

Lindy Blosser is an award winning soft pastel artist based in Metro Atlanta. She has shown in multiple galleries in the Southeast and has been chosen to participate in many international online juried shows - most notably the coveted exhibit hosted by the International Association of Pastel Societies. She will also be participating this year in Enduring Brilliance! 54th PSA Annual Exhibition- the premier pastel international exhibition held in the Grand Gallery of the historic National Arts Club in New York, New York. While she graduated with a BFA in Painting and Drawing from Kennesaw State University, she is self taught in the medium of soft pastels. Lindy is a Member of Excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society, an Associate Member with the Pastel Society of America, and a member of the South Cobb Arts Alliance.
She loves painting portraits and figures, but also finds great joy in painting nature and the animals on her small homestead. When asked about her work she says: " When creating pieces, I believe it is important to look for life's hidden beauties not just in bleak situations but also in our everyday lives. I want my work to portray the human spirit in all of its facets. I hope people feel a sense of familiarity when they look at my work. I would like to inspire people to look for the magic around them and to cherish the fragility of life."
