Allyson Brooker

Artist Statement

Allyson Brooker earned her BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Her current focus is Mosaic Art and Mosaic Art Jewelry. She primarily uses Italian 24k gold leaf and Smalti glass as her choice of material. When working in larger formats she explores deeper into the tangible use of this material by incorporating handmade Filati and sheet glass.
She enjoys the versatility of soft pastels, oil pastels and working in hand-building ceramics. Any chosen medium she uses, she applies through an abstract style with the use of color inspired by nature, music and movement.
Allyson lives off-grid in Northern California. When she's not in the studio she's out in her boutique olive grove.
