I have spent the last few years creating collages from 2-D found materials. Recently I have been experimenting with adding objects and shaped paper to my pieces. Handmade paper adds another dimension to a collage.
Many weeks were invested in making multiple sheets of paper from recycled office paper or old discarded books. I researched and experimented with a variety of pulping times and the addition of different colorants. I was most interested in creating an interesting paper surface and unconventional paper shapes. The resulting shapes were organic and sculptural.

My paper compositions are abstract and appear to “float” off the surface.

I live and work in Papillion, Nebraska. I earned a Batchelor of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
