David Connors

Artist Statement

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and attended advanced adult illustration and life drawing classes at eight years of age. David is a multimedia fine artist, concentrating on oils and acrylic illustrations on wet and dry mediums, describing himself as a colorist and post-modern impressionist. His work is about the tension between colour and line.
He entered and majored in commercial and fine art at Danforth Tech, one of two specialized art high schools in North America and attended classes at the Ontario College of Art, the University of Miami, and Nova Scotia’s College of Art and Design.
As a creative director at several of Canada’s prominent advertising and marketing firms, David has won numerous national and international marketing awards.
A long-time resident of Shelburne, David retired in 2004 and has since concentrated on his fine art. His artwork is housed throughout North America and Europe.
