Laura Bowman

Artist Statement

Laura graduated from UC Berkeley with a minor in art and has continued her studies over the years with artists in California, Hawaii and Connecticut. In Hawaii she showed her art at the Lana'i Art Center for 16 years. Four years ago, after moving from the Northern California wine country to Rowayton, she studied with Joseph Fama, Mari Gyorgyey, Nancy McTeague-Stock, Dana Goodfellow and Lenny Moscowitz of the Rowayton Arts Center. She is interested in composition, color, pattern and abstraction, and likes for her work to have a bold and energetic dramatic contrast. She works in Mixed Media, Collage and Acrylic.
