Artist Statement

I create drawings by hand using a simple algorithm — a set of instructions that involves nesting grids until the drawing becomes too dense to continue. The medium is watercolor on archival watercolor paper, drawn with a bamboo pen. Once the drawing is completed, it is folded into a three-dimensional object meant to hang on a wall.
