Artist Statement

The breathtaking beauty of California has always inspired my work, and I have depicted its glorious landscape in several mediums, my favorite being aquatint etching. My multiple plate etchings explore the juxtaposition of various natural elements in an attempt to depict the grandeur and resplendence of the California scene.Light and space factor into my artistic decisions in which I attempt to involve the viewer in the emotional resonance of each place I depict.It is a privilege to be able to produce these works celebrating California.
