In my artistic exploration, I have found a captivating parallel between the concept of “there is a space between thoughts” and the process of painting with the addition of layers. This connection has led me to delve into the intricate relationship between introspection, creativity, and the act of layering pigment on canvas. My work, much like the mind’s interludes, is a journey that unveils the profound beauty residing within these gaps, as well as the transformative power that arises from the accumulation of thought, emotion, and color.
In both the mental landscape and the realm of art, the notion of layering conveys the richness of experience. Some layers may obscure or enhance previous ones, reflecting the way thoughts can either obscure or amplify earlier contemplations. I seek to remind viewers of the beauty in embracing the gaps between thoughts and the transformative potential that arises from building upon our meditations. Just as life’s most profound insights often arise from moments of quiet, my art invites you to pause, engage, and find solace in the layers of thought and color that collectively shape our understanding of self and the world around us.
