Artist Statement

I am drawn to places that leave a residue.

Through travel, I wander and photograph fragments of landscape, texture, and fleeting moments of attention that linger after I’ve left.

The accumulation of these NYC images becomes the DNA of my emotional and physical experience, and forms the foundation of my work. My work is in partnership with what already exists in my beloved city where I grew up.

My work is not an attempt to document where I have been, but to understand how those encounters have shaped me. I use the visual language of place to explore how experience settles into us and quietly alters the way we move through the world.

Each piece becomes a record of attention—a way of slowing down, making meaning, and tracing the subtle exchange between the external and internal world bringing the familiar back into view.
