Artist Statement

My art expresses my activism provoking attention to the political and social and environmental injustices. As an issue driven artist, each work tells a story. It might be a broad sweep, a specific event or a point in time. Occasionally, the intensity of expression leads to a break with work for pure fun or an infusion of a heavy dose of humor.

With the environment as a featured or underlying driver, found objects and recycled materials are used whenever possible. Discarded house paint left by neighbors is a favorite medium for paintings.
