Bridgette Bramlage

Artist Statement

Bridgette Bramlage is a collage artist living and working in Chicago. She is self taught and creates her own independent art practice within the Chicago DIY artist community. Collage is a self-guided exploration of new patterns, challenges and storytelling. Her method is best described as precise cuts and deliberate layering to obscure boundaries in order to create abstract and figural narratives. A devotee to the analog, nothing is digitally constructed.

She has participated in group and solo shows. Her work has shown in Helsinki, Orquevaux, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Chicago. She has been published in Kolaj, Create! and Chicago Collage Community magazines. She is a Saatchi artist, has participated in The Other Art Fair Chicago 2025. Residencies have included the Kolaj Institute in New Orleans and Chateau Orquevaux in Orquevaux, France. She has been commissioned for private collections, graphic art design, led workshops and shown in Chicago showrooms.
