Catherine Kolecki
Artist Statement
My artistic interests lie in depicting domestic interiors, outdoor scenes and cityscapes, that convey a mood setting. They may be in figurative or abstract impressionist form. I hope to engage the viewer in a reflective narrative and look at what is around us closer and intimate.
I consider myself continuously learning and being influenced by the works of the Impressionists, local artists and multiple contemporary artists. While I mostly work in oils, I enjoy working in acrylics, watercolors and pastels.
