Tessa E Koller
Artist Statement
A native of St. Charles, Illinois, Tessa Koller began creating art before she could talk or articulate emotions. She proudly holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drawing and painting and has quite a story behind every art piece she has created. In 2008, before earning her college degree, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome known as 22Q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. Throughout the course of her life, she has struggled with heart disease, lung disease, immune system problems, and lives with chronic pain. Additionally, she has had many near-death experiences, and art has been her connective thread, allowing her to embrace and accept her differences.
Today, Tessa is an accomplished artist, seamstress, and writer, and uses her artistic abilities to inspire others also living with chronic health challenges. Visit tessakoller.com and check out other inspiring works she has produced in various fine art mediums.
