Artist Statement

My work is rooted in a deep passion for found objects, particularly foundry molds, which I see not only as historical relics of the machine age but as captivating pieces that invite collaboration and transformation. I seek out these patterns, as well as other found material, from a variety of places, breathing new life into them by combining tactile skill, playfulness, and a strategic use of color to enhance their inherent negative and positive spaces. Through this process, I create sculptures that often take on figurative or anthropomorphic qualities, inviting viewers to engage actively and fill in the emotional or narrative gaps themselves.
