Artist Statement

My work begins with observation—with looking closely enough to find something extraordinary in what might otherwise seem ordinary. Whether through photography or sculpture, I am drawn to character, gesture, expression, and moments that reveal something about the human experience. Photography allows me to recognize and preserve those moments; sculpture allows me to reconstruct and interpret them in three dimensions. Across both media, my work is about finding the art in life and the life in art.
