Art is in my DNA, and I’ve been surrounded by it my entire life. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about art or creating, think about my next painting, doodle on a napkin, etc.
My paintings are impressionistic in nature, and I try to capture the moment of a scene and the depiction of light. They have an open composition that contain strong brush strokes and draw the viewer into my world. I work quickly, but with skill, create durable compositions, and have created my own unique style.
I returned to painting during the pandemic, after Art College, my career took a different direction, but I couldn’t be happier to be painting again. In my paintings I try to be accurate, but when something isn’t working, I move on to the next canvas. I try not to overwork things and keep it simple. For a lot of my paintings, I use the “wet-on-wet” technique and coat the canvas with a white base. This allows me to easily blend colors and do techniques that can’t be done on a dry canvas. Additionally, I usually do an under painting to get the values correct, and create a good composition. My later paintings have moved to this technique, and I've found it's really improved my work.. Once I complete a painting I look forward to the next one.
Painting is my passion.
