Artist Statement
Joseph Ara Zovickian (b. 1994) is a sculptor from Oakland, California.
His interest is portraiture and his primary mediums are marble and limestone.
In his practice, Mr. Zovickian hand carves the stone directly from life,
looking for emotion from each sitter. He works out of New York.
