Pamela Proctor
Artist Statement
I explore the natural world by manipulating organic materials, specifically using wasp nest paper and birch bark to evoke the textures of water and sky. By integrating fabricated copper elements to represent islands or stone masses, I construct intricate, layered seascapes with deep perspective. While working with these delicate natural components naturally limits the physical scale of my pieces, I find great joy in the intimate, detailed "little worlds" I am able to create.
