Krys Pettit

Artist Statement

Krys Pettit loves and lives art. Her work covers the range of subject matter from still life to figurative. Her passion is the observation of the hidden but extraordinary moments in life. She is also known for her watercolor house portraits and commissions.

Two of Krys's paintings, Aging Gracefully, a watercolor painting, and Summer Clouds on Jekyll Creek, an acrylic painting, were chosen in a statewide competition for “The Art of Georgia IV,” and will be on display at the Georgia State Capitol and the Georgia Governor's Mansion August 2023 through July 2024.

Krys’s work is in various private collections throughout the country. Her art has been chosen for poster art for national art festivals, and she has exhibited in numerous local and regional venues and juried competitions. She has been honored to receive awards in online, local and regional exhibits. She also teaches introductory watercolor courses, sharing her enthusiasm for the medium to new artists and students.
