Artist Statement

I work as a commercial graphic designer, as well as a fine artist. I have been painting in acrylic on canvas over the past 4 years. After painting a series baseball greats, I have moved on to paint portraits. My goal is to achieve an accurate, but modified realism. I paint from photographs and a vast catalog of Cardinals uniforms and graphics that I researched and illustrated over my 38-year association with the Cardinals as a creative consultant. I also like to paint from nature, including: birds, animals and landscapes. I exhibited at the first Sababa Arts Festival and also won awards in online exhibitions.
