Artist Statement

My portfolio contains paintings and drawings representing
several genre- portraiture, still life, figurative, and landscape.

My preferred painting medium is oils with occasional works in encaustic.
Stylistically my work is defined as contemporary realism and narrative figurative.
I take great pleasure in landscape painting which allows me to explore
different challenges of those painting mediums.

My studio is located in Orinda with beautiful views of the hills and glorious sunsets from which I gain inspiration. I am primarily self-taught. But, I’m passionate about my art and
enjoy the precise methods and tools needed to achieve realistic results.
My color choices range from classic subdued and subtle to bright hues depending on the subject and narrative.
