Moving and making have interested Jean Cherouny for a lifetime. Jean is an Active Expressionist Painter. Trained at the University of Vermont where she evolved her rollerblade painting style earning a BS in Art Education in 1991, Cherouny shows her work in galleries in America, Philippines, Europe and Aruba. Jean Cherouny first went beyond the brush with her rollerblade paintings, literally skating the paint onto the canvas with her wheels in 2008. She earned her MFA from Northern Vermont University in 2010. Connection to her body using wheel tools while skate painting, guides her to create playfully, candy colored field paintings showing evidence of the wheel's recording of time, rich texture, shape and lines. She lives and makes her art in Aruba and Vermont.
