Artist Statement

I have loved art and design my whole life, but never had the opportunity to take classes or the time to participate until my recent retirement. Now, I am working to pour a lifetime of art experiences into a few years. My training in mathematics and physics have proven invaluable in guiding both composition and content on canvas and my newfound interest in photography inspires me to consider topics begging for interpretation via water color or acrylic medium. My lack of formal training allows me to paint from intuition, without the constraints of formal expectations.
