Nancy Chapman

Artist Statement

Nancy Chapman a contemporary watercolor artist specializing in expressive, playful interpretations of the natural world. Driven by the fluid and unpredictable nature of the medium, Chapman translates landscapes and botanical elements into vibrant visual stories. Her work focuses on the joy of discovery, utilizing bold color washes and intuitive brushwork to capture the lively energy of the outdoors.

After earning an advertising design degree from Cazenovia College, Chapman spent a distinguished career working as a corporate graphic designer and art director for major brands like Ethan Allen, Nivea, and Labatt USA, to name a few. Now fully dedicated to fine art, she works out of her studio in Marshfield, VT. Her work has been exhibited throughout Connecticut and Vermont.

Chapman has also participated in the March Arts Marathon, a yearly fundraiser for the Central Vermont Refugee Action Network, (CVRAN) for the past 3 years.
