Artist Statement

Cherishing who we are and appreciating where we come from. I am Barbara Sykes Gibson a freelance and fine art photographer from Hampton, VA. Born and raised on the peninsula surrounded by beaches, rivers, and wooded parks, the camera has become my third eye to capture nature's beauty in print media. I am passionate about the natural world and capturing that beauty with my client in the mist brings me a special joy. Specialized photography for all things that make us family.
